The 2019 Edition of the Tutorials in Theoretical Chemistry organized by the Université Paul Sabatier was held in Luchon-Superbagnères, France, from the 28th January to the 7th February 2019. The organizing committee is composed of Arjan Berger, Stefano Evangelisti and Jérôme Cuny from the LCPQ.
It is structured as a series of one-day tutorials on various topics concerning Quantum Chemistry/Physics for Master and PhD sutdents.
As in previous years, the focus of the school is the translation of theory into computer code. Therefore much time is devoted to hands-on tutorials.
The topics of the school are :
High performance computing and parallel computing
Theory and Implementation of DFT-based Methods
Building Nanoparticles
Exploration od Potential Energy Surfaces - Molecular Dynamics
Quantum Magnetism - The Heisenberg Model
Quantum Dynamics
Low-Dimensional Carbon Structures
